Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on Business 60 in Aurora

Aurora, MO (August 31, 2025) On Tuesday evening, a violent hit-and-run crash on Business Route 60 left a 65-year-old man with serious injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the frightening incident happened around 6:17 p.m. on August 26 at Business Route 60 and Lawrence 2210.

Reports say that the rider, operating a 2000 Yamaha VStar 1100 eastbound, was pushed off the roadway by a Chevrolet truck traveling in the same direction. The truck fled the scene before officers arrived.

Paramedics transported the injured motorcyclist to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time. The motorcycle was later secured by a family member.

The driver of the Chevrolet truck has not yet been identified, and investigators are urging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
