Authorities say that the collision occurred around 8:10 p.m. near the intersection of E. Vista Chino and Volturno Road.

Police stated that the driver involved remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators.

Officers confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash. The identity of the pedestrian will be disclosed once the Riverside County Coroner’s Office notifies the next of kin.
