Violent Traffic Accident on I-44 Injures Teens [Columbia, MO]

Columbia, MO (March 22, 2025) – 2 teenagers were hurt on Friday after a violent traffic accident on I-44.

According to authorities, the frightening crash happened on Interstate 44 at mile marker 170

Reports say that the crash left two teenagers with serious injuries after their truck overturned and struck a tree.

Authorities say that the 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound when it veered off the left side of the road, overturned, and crashed into a tree. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

Emergency responders airlifted an 18-year-old from St. Robert to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, while a 19-year-old from Spring Hill, Florida, was flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The truck sustained total damage.
