Violent Traffic Collision on I-5 Results in Injury [Bellingham, WA]

Bellingham, WA (September 5, 2024) On Wednesday afternoon, a traffic collision on I-5 left traffic blocked and injuries were reported.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the traffic crash happened at about 5:37 p.m. on northbound I-5 at Lakeway Drive (milepost 253).

Reports say that a car and semi-truck were involved in the crash, medics reported injuries due to the collision.

Authorities say that the load of the big rig shifted trapping the driver inside the vehicle.

Officials say that serious injuries were reported but were not considered to be life-threatening injuries.

WSP is investigating the horrific crash and have not released additional information at this time.
