Child Suffers Incapacitating Injuries in Coryell County Deadly Crash

Coryell County, TX (May 6, 2026) – 27-year-old Windy Neth of Belton and another driver was killed in an Interstate 14 wrong-way crash before Monday midnight.

Troopers said the fatal collision happened at 11:55 p.m. near Bell Tower Road.

DPS officers said a 2016 Ford Mustang driven by Ramon Joseph Hernandez, 40, of Gatesville, was traveling west on the eastbound lanes of the freeway.

As a result, the Ford Mustang collided head-on with a 2016 Ford Explorer that was traveling east, driven by Windy Neth.

Troopers responded to the scene and declared Hernandez and Neth deceased.

Moreover, rescuers transported a two-year-old passenger in the Ford Explorer to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.

In the meantime, the authorities are conducting a further investigation into the fatal crash.
