Woman Dead in Appleway Avenue Pedestrian Crash

1 Killed in Traffic Crash near Michigan Road

Spokane Valley, WA (January 2, 2025) – A woman in her 60s lost her life following an Appleway Avenue pedestrian crash on New Year’s Eve.

The deadly traffic crash happened around 7 p.m. near Michigan Road east of Barker Road.

Responding officers found the witnesses providing first aid to the woman. However, despite life-saving efforts, she was declared dead at the scene.

Moreover, the car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Troopers said he did not see the woman crossing the road.

The authorities do not believe drugs and alcohol were factors in the accident.

SVPD is still investigating.
