HPD Investigates Deadly Traffic Crash at El Segundo Boulevard

Hawthorne, CA (March 6, 2026) – An elderly woman lost her life in a Prairie Avenue pedestrian crash late Monday night.

The authorities responded before 11 p.m. to the fatal collision at El Segundo Boulevard.

When they arrived, officers found the unresponsive woman in the street and a mobility device near her.

Sadly, the woman succumbed to her crash injuries at the scene.

Troopers administered a field sobriety test to the driver, but it is unknown if the authorities arrested him.
