LOS ANGELES, CA (March 13, 2026) — A 73-year-old woman died in a crash on Olympic Boulevard after a suspected hit-and-run driver struck her while she rode her bicycle through a crosswalk in Koreatown on Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said the crash happened at about 6:40 a.m. when a white Dodge Ram traveling eastbound on Olympic Boulevard turned right onto southbound Vermont Avenue.

Investigators said the truck hit the woman as she rode eastbound on Olympic Boulevard within the crosswalk.

Authorities said the driver did not stop to help and instead fled east on Olympic toward Menlo Avenue.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took the woman to a hospital, where she later died.

Officials withheld her name pending notification of her relatives.

Detectives later found the suspect vehicle near the crash scene and took it into custody as evidence.

Police also said drug use may have contributed to the fatal collision.
