Woman Critically Injured After Fleeing Jeep Crashes Into Sedan in West Harris County

Katy, TX (December 19, 2025) — On Wednesday evening, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was hurt after a high-speed crash on Fry Road.

According to authorities, the frightening collision happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection with Tealbrook Drive.

Reports say that the violent crash left the woman in critical condition after a driver fleeing deputies slammed into her vehicle.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a Jeep around 10 p.m. along the 7100 block of Fry Road after suspecting the vehicle was racing. The driver refused to pull over and led deputies on a brief pursuit.

The chase ended at the intersection of Fry Road and Tealbrook Drive when the Jeep collided with a sedan traveling through the area.

First responders had to extricate the sedan’s female driver, before transporting her to a hospital in critical condition.

The Jeep’s driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital. Authorities indicated the driver could face multiple charges, including more serious offenses if the woman later dies from her injuries.
