Woman Hurt in Shocking Pedestrian Accident on 9th Street [Coolidge, AZ]

Woman Hospitalized After Pedestrian Crash at 9th Street and Coolidge Avenue

Coolidge, AZ (March 14, 2026) — On Tuesday evening, a female pedestrian suffered a serious head injury after a pedestrian accident on 9th Street in Coolidge.

Authorities said the crash happened around the intersection with Coolidge Avenue. A white sedan hit the woman, leaving her with injuries that required hospitalization. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officers from the Coolidge Police Department responded to the scene and began investigating the circumstances of the collision. The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Task Force also assisted with the investigation. Detectives used specialized 3D laser scanning technology to document the crash scene and help reconstruct how the collision occurred.

Officials had not released a final determination of fault. Authorities also have not reported any arrests or citations related to the incident. Investigators continue to review evidence as the case remains active.

Let’s Drive Safer Together

High-speed crashes can occur in the blink of an eye, but so many are preventable with small, intelligent decisions. Pay attention, don’t get distracted (say, by texting) and never drive after drinking. As ever – obey speed limits, buckle up and keep plenty of room between yourself and other vehicles. These are small enough measures to save lives — including your own.

We can all take steps to help keep our roads safe for ourselves, our families and our communities.
Pedestrian accidents often lead to severe injuries because people on foot have little protection against vehicles. Drivers should remain alert, especially near intersections and residential streets, while pedestrians should use designated crossings whenever possible. Practicing caution on both sides can help prevent devastating crashes.
