Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash at Mission Boulevard and Reed Avenue in Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach, CA (May 13, 2026)— A 67-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a crash at Mission Boulevard and Reed Avenue on Tuesday night after an SUV struck her while she was crossing a street in Pacific Beach.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash happened around 9:55 p.m. near Mission Boulevard and Reed Avenue.

Police said the woman was walking in the north crosswalk when a 25-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner traveled eastbound on Reed Avenue. 

The driver then made a left turn to head north onto Mission Boulevard and struck the pedestrian.

Emergency responders transported the woman to a local hospital with a fractured pelvis. Officials have not released her current condition.

Authorities said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

SDPD’s Traffic Division responded to the scene and is leading the investigation. Police said they have not yet determined fault.
