Police Investigate Crash on Route C Near Route CC in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, MO ()— A woman suffered moderate injuries Thursday morning in a four-vehicle crash on Route C west of Route CC, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision happened at approximately 7:46 a.m.

According to the MSHP crash report, three vehicles were stopped at a red light: a 2021 GMC Yukon driven by a 28-year-old Fulton woman, a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 32-year-old Eldon man, and a 2018 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 22-year-old Russellville man.

Troopers said a 26-year-old California, Missouri, woman driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado approached the stopped traffic but failed to notice the red light.

Her vehicle struck the rear of the GMC Yukon, triggering a chain-reaction collision involving the other stopped vehicles.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the 26-year-old driver to Capitol Regional Medical Center.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol classified her injuries as moderate.

Authorities did not report additional injuries in connection with the crash.

The circumstances surrounding the collision were documented in the State Patrol’s online crash report.

Injured in a Jefferson City Rear-End or Chain-Reaction Crash? Sweet Lawyers Can Help

A chain-reaction crash can unfold in seconds, leaving drivers and passengers with injuries, damaged vehicles, and unexpected questions about what happens next.

We hope the woman injured in this Jefferson City collision receives the medical attention and support she needs during her recovery.

Rear-end crashes involving several vehicles can become complicated because investigators and insurance companies may need to determine how each impact occurred and whether more than one vehicle contributed to the resulting damage or injuries.

Police reports, photographs, witness statements, vehicle damage, traffic-signal information, and medical documentation may all help clarify the sequence of events.

At Sweet Lawyers, we understand that even a crash described as causing moderate injuries can significantly disrupt a person’s life.

Injured motorists may face emergency treatment, follow-up appointments, physical therapy, missed work, vehicle repairs, and insurance communications while trying to recover physically.

Some collision-related injuries may also become more noticeable after the initial shock of an accident subsides. Neck pain, back pain, headaches, stiffness, and other symptoms can develop or worsen over time.

Anyone experiencing concerning symptoms after a crash should consider seeking appropriate medical care and following the recommendations of qualified healthcare professionals.

When several vehicles are involved, insurance matters may be especially difficult to navigate. Determining responsibility, documenting damages, and communicating with multiple insurers can create additional stress for injured people and their families.

An experienced personal injury attorney can review the available information, explain the legal process, and help individuals understand the options that may apply to their circumstances.

Preserving documentation after a crash can also be helpful. Medical records, photographs, repair estimates, accident reports, insurance correspondence, and receipts for accident-related expenses may provide important information about the impact of the collision.

Sweet Lawyers is committed to assisting people injured in motor vehicle accidents with compassion, professionalism, and clear communication.

Every personal injury matter depends on its individual facts, and no particular result can be guaranteed.
