Woman Injured in Disastrous 2-Vehicle Crash on US 63

Injuries Reported in Boone County Auto Accident on US 63 and Gilmore Lane

BOONE COUNTY, MO (June 18, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, a 38-year-old woman sustained injuries in a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on US 63 and Gilmore Lane.

The incident happened at around 3:40 p.m. on US 63 and Gilmore Lane.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, a 2025 Peterbilt 548 driven by a 25-year-old Columbia man turned right onto U.S. 63 from Gilmore Lane and entered the path of a 2020 Honda Fit.

Investigators said the truck merged into the right lane, where the woman was traveling, and her Honda struck the rear of the truck’s trailer. A photo released by the Highway Patrol showed the Honda wedged beneath the trailer.

The woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report. She was transported by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment.
