EL MONTE, CA (June 3, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a woman suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 4300 Cypress Avenue in El Monte.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. The incident transpired in the 4300 block of Cypress Avenue, El Monte police Lt. Christopher Cano revealed.
 
When the officers arrived, they located a woman who’d been seriously hit by the hit-and-run vehicle. Responders took her to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, bystanders described the vehicle to the authorities. Thus, the investigators successfully tracked the suspect into his home.
 
At this time, the authorities suspect that the driver was under the influence of alcohol during the crash. However, they haven’t confirmed anything yet since the investigation remains ongoing.
 
“We’re going to have to ascertain if the person was under the influence of alcohol at the time. While driving the motor vehicle and striking the pedestrian, or when they were home,” Cano said.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the suspect.
