Thuan Cong Duong Arrested After Crash on Brookhurst Street in Garden Grove

Garden Grove, CA (December 18, 2024) – A 32-year-old woman sustained severe injuries in a crash on Brookhurst Street.

Reportedly, Garden Grove police arrested Thuan Cong Duong, 30, for allegedly running over a woman with a car.

Officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 12200 block of Brookhurst Street on Dec. 10, just before 3 a.m. 

Upon arrival, they discovered two victims at the scene—a 32-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man.

The woman, who was severely injured, was transported to a hospital for treatment. She informed police that she was intentionally run over by a vehicle. 

The second victim was unharmed, and the vehicle involved was left at the scene.

Detectives identified Duong as the suspect following an investigation. 

On Dec. 17, officers took Duong into custody and booked him into Orange County Jail on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

Police have not disclosed the motive or additional details about the circumstances of the assault, as the case remains under investigation.
