Woman Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 40 in Amarillo

Amarillo, TX (November 13, 2025) – One woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 and Washington Street in Amarillo on Thursday, according to the Amarillo Fire Department.

The crash occurred in front of the Fairly Group building, where emergency crews arrived to find one of the vehicles resting on its side, pressed up against the structure. 

Firefighters had to extricate the woman from her vehicle before transporting her to a nearby hospital. Authorities described her injuries as minor.

As a result of the crash and cleanup efforts, both northbound and southbound lanes of Washington Street, just north of the I-40 bridge, were temporarily closed.

Officials have not yet released the identity of the injured woman, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
