66-Year-Old Palmdale Woman Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Avenue D [Lancaster, CA]

Lancaster, CA (November 4, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash on Avenue D near Lancaster on Friday afternoon, claimed the life of a 66-year-old woman from Palmdale.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue D and 70th Street West.

Investigators said J. Karwowski was driving a 2002 Ford northbound on 70th Street West when she entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound 2021 Peterbilt truck driven by a 24-year-old man from Riverside.

Karwowski suffered fatal injuries from the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and investigators said neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be factors in the crash.
