Woman Killed in Accident on Avenue J and Challenger Way [Lancaster, CA]

1 Dead in Lancaster Car Crash on Avenue J

 
LANCASTER, CA (October 8, 2020) – Monday night, a woman died in an accident on Avenue J and Challenger Way in Lancaster.
 
The incident occurred at 10:47 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue J and Challenger Way. According to the preliminary investigation, a male adult drove a Ford Fusion together with a female adult passenger. They traveled north on Challenger Way, in lane #2, near Avenue J.
 
Meanwhile, a female driver of a southbound Honda Civic on Challenger Way was trying to turn left on eastbound Avenue J. According to reports, she was on a controlled green arrow.
 
Reports from the Lancaster Station said that the Ford driver probably didn’t stop at the red signal. Then, the crash at the intersection occurred.
 
As a result, responders transported the Ford driver and his female passenger to the Antelope Valley Hospital. Unfortunately, the female passenger died at the hospital.
 
At this time, the authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. Furthermore, they are looking into the possibility of drugs/alcohol as factors in the crash.
