Police Investigate Fatal  Pedestrian Crash on Martin Luther King Blvd in Corsicana

Corsicana, TX (October 25, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in a crash on Martin Luther King Blvd.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. in the 1900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Corsicana Police responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a local nurse had stopped to perform CPR on the victim before paramedics took over life-saving efforts. Despite those efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Witnesses told police that a Dodge pickup truck was traveling eastbound when the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway from north to south.

The truck struck her in the outermost lane. Investigators say there is no evidence of speeding, distraction, or impairment, and the area did not have a designated crosswalk.

The victim, described as a Hispanic female in her mid-30s, was last seen wearing black shorts. She had no identification, keys, or personal belongings on her at the time of the collision.

Her cell phone was recovered at the scene but had been destroyed in the impact. Authorities are working to confirm her identity and notify her next of kin.

A magistrate has ordered an autopsy, and the Corsicana Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.

Sweet Lawyers extend our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the deceased. May the bereaved find solace and strength in this extremely trying time.
