Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Montgomery Boulevard NE in Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (May 13, 2026)— A woman died Tuesday night after a crash on Montgomery Boulevard NE involving a vehicle and an e-scooter in a parking lot.
Officers responded to the crash around 9:50 p.m. at 4321 Montgomery Boulevard NE.
According to the preliminary investigation, a purple Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound through the parking lot.
At the same time, an adult woman was riding a black e-scooter with an attached seat northbound in the same parking lot.
The Chevrolet Malibu and the e-scooter collided.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the scooter rider died from her injuries at the crash site.
The driver of the Malibu, identified only as an adult male, remained at the scene. Investigators questioned him as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities have not released additional details about what caused the crash or whether any citations will be issued.
The crash remains under investigation.
