SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 30, 2022) – Monday night, a woman died in a hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue and 92nd Street.

The incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on Western Avenue and 92nd Street.

According to reports, a southbound vehicle struck the woman in a crosswalk on Western Avenue. Then, the driver fled the crash scene.

After the crash, responders took the woman to a hospital. However, they declared her dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, officers found a handicap walker discarded on the edge of the intersection. According to Joe Fruge, the victim used it to get around.
