Woman Killed in Highway 70 Traffic Accident

Pedestrian Loses Life in Collision East of Mill Creek Road

Quincy, CA (February 27, 2026) – A woman lost her life in a Highway 70 traffic accident Monday night.

The fatal crash happened past 10 p.m., east of Mill Creek Road in East Quincy.

Responding officers determined the victim was hit by a vehicle.

Paramedics provided medical aid to the victim, but she died at the scene.

Investigators said the driver was eastbound on the highway at an unknown speed when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Officers arrested the involved female driver on suspicion of driving under the influence.
