Bakersfield, CA (October 29, 2025) — On Sunday evening, a woman lost her life after a hit-and-run crash on Airport Drive in Oildale.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident happened around 8:46 p.m., just south of Roberts Lane.

Investigators determined that the woman was walking north along the east curb of Airport Drive when a northbound vehicle struck her for reasons still under investigation.
