Woman Killed and 7 Injured in Horrific Auto Accident on US Highway 67 [Fredericktown, MO]

1 Dead in Fredericktown Vehicle Crash on US Highway 67

FREDERICKTOWN, MO (June 29, 2025) – Friday afternoon, a woman died and 7 were injured in a horrific auto accident on US Highway 67.

The incident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. on north US Highway 67.

According to reports, a 2002 Kia SUV heading northbound veered off the right side of the highway and struck a 2003 Ford SUV that was stopped on the shoulder, about a mile north of Missouri Highway 72.

The Kia’s driver, a 66-year-old man from Marquand, Missouri, and all passengers were reportedly wearing seatbelts. One of the passengers, a 69-year-old woman, later died from her injuries at the hospital.

The Ford SUV was occupied by a 38-year-old woman from Marble Hills and several passengers. Police said two of the Ford’s occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Three children in the Ford, two 7-year-old girls, and a 5-year-old boy were airlifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries.

Four adults were also injured. Three suffered moderate injuries while one had minor injuries, according to crash investigators.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop E is investigating. The crash marks the 28th traffic fatality in Troop E’s area this year.
