RIO OSO, CA (June 18, 2019) – A woman was killed following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Rio Oso.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:36 p.m., on Highway 70 near Kempton Road.
 
CHP officials responded to the scene and located a white Chevrolet Silverado and a gold Toyota Tercel. An off-duty fire crew performed CPR on a female occupant in the Toyota.
 
Sadly, the woman did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available pending family notification.
 
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened. Both vehicles were also towed away from the crash site.
 
There were no official reports stating what caused the crash or how it exactly transpired. Authorities are looking further into the incident to determine the factors involved and liability.
