Police Investigate Simi Valley Pedestrian Crash at 2091-A Madera Road Outside Urbane Cafe

SIMI VALLEY, CA (June 30, 2026)— A 79-year-old Agoura Hills woman died in a crash at 2091-A Madera Road after a vehicle struck her while she was walking on a sidewalk outside Urbane Cafe on Simi Valley’s west side.

According to the Simi Valley Police Department, officers responded at about 2:30 p.m. to Urbane Cafe at 2091-A Madera Road, near the Target store, after receiving reports of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Police said the woman was walking eastbound on the sidewalk in front of the business when a Tesla struck her.

Investigators said the Tesla had been traveling north through the parking lot when it continued past the east and west lanes and drove onto the sidewalk.

Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

The Tesla driver, identified only as a Thousand Oaks resident, was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. One passenger was also transported with minor injuries. Police said three minors were passengers in the vehicle.

The Simi Valley Police Department continues to investigate the crash. Officials said they do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors.
