Police Search for Driver After Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 60 in Socorro County

Socorro County, NM (November 11, 2025) — A tragic hit-and-run crash on Highway 60 has left a woman dead, and New Mexico State Police are now asking the public for help identifying the driver responsible.

The fatal crash occurred Tuesday morning around 10 a.m. on westbound Highway 60 near mile marker 135. 

Authorities say a woman was struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle that fled the scene. 

At this time, police have not released the victim’s identity, and no description of the suspect vehicle has been made available.

New Mexico State Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with information about the crash to contact NMSP dispatch at 575-382-2500.
