Police Search for Driver After Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood
Hollywood, CA (November 13, 2025) — A woman was tragically killed early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Sunset Boulevard and Wilton Place, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:32 a.m., when a white Mazda sedan traveling north on Wilton Place was struck by a Range Rover heading east on Sunset Boulevard.
According to LAPD officials, the impact of the collision left the victim trapped inside her vehicle.
Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded and worked to free the woman; however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Range Rover, believed to be a woman, fled the scene on foot and remains at large.
Authorities later confirmed that the Range Rover was reported stolen prior to the collision.
Debris from the crash was scattered across both sides of Sunset Boulevard, and the surrounding area was closed off during the investigation.
