1 Dead in Riverside Multi-Vehicle Accident on Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive

RIVERSIDE, CA (January 6, 2025) – Saturday night, a woman died in a horrific DUI crash on Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive.

The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. on Collett Avenue and Stonewall Drive, reported Riverside police Sgt. Tim Jensen.

A 75-year-old woman driving a white 2005 Jeep Liberty slowed on Collett Avenue to turn left onto Stonewall Drive when her vehicle was rear-ended by a gray 2014 Toyota Tundra driven by a 38-year-old Norco resident, according to Jensen.

The impact pushed the Jeep into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a red 2014 Toyota C-HR driven by a 70-year-old Riverside man. The woman was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities did not specify whether the 70-year-old driver was injured. The Norco driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
