Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Interstate 70 in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, MO (October 2, 2025) —A female pedestrian died in a crash on Interstate 70.
Reportedly, a woman was tragically killed early Thursday morning after being struck by multiple vehicles while attempting to cross Interstate 70 westbound near Carrie Avenue in North St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the fatal crash occurred around 5:45 a.m., prompting the closure of all westbound lanes at Adelaide Avenue for nearly three hours.
Accident Reconstruction investigators responded to the scene to examine the circumstances.
Video footage reviewed by authorities showed the woman climbing over a fence to access the highway.
While trying to cross the lanes of I-70, she was struck by an unknown vehicle. Her body was subsequently hit by several other vehicles, none of which stopped or remained at the scene, police said.
As of now, the identities of the involved drivers remain unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
