SALINE COUNTY, MO (April 29, 2026) — A 65-year-old woman died, and two others suffered injuries, on Tuesday afternoon after a rear-end crash in Saline County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened at about 1:15 p.m. A 42-year-old man rear-ended the vehicle driven by the 65-year-old woman.

After the impact, both vehicles veered toward the left side of the highway. One of the vehicles then struck a 32-year-old female pedestrian.

Emergency crews responded to the scene. A LifeFlight helicopter transported the pedestrian to Research Hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities pronounced the 65-year-old woman dead at the scene. Officials later transported her to the Saline County Coroner’s Office.

The 42-year-old man suffered minor injuries. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office transported him to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Officials have not released additional details about what led to the crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal collision.
