Wrong-Way Driver Faces Felony Charges After Rollover Crash on I-10 in Marana
Marana, AZ (June 17, 2025) — Authorities plan to file felony charges against a wrong-way driver who allegedly caused a rollover crash on Interstate 10 in Marana early Saturday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 2:37 a.m. near milepost 243 when a vehicle traveling west in the eastbound lanes sideswiped another car.
The collision forced the other vehicle into the median cable barrier, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its roof. Emergency responders transported the victim driver to a Tucson hospital for observation.
Officials also took the wrong-way driver to a local hospital. DPS said felony charges will be filed once that driver is released. The investigation remains ongoing.

That’s why it’s so important to stay alert, drive responsibly, and respect others. Safe driving doesn’t just protect you; it keeps your loved ones, neighbors, and even total strangers safe too.
If we all do our part—slow down, stay focused, and avoid distractions—we can make the roads safer for everyone.
And don’t forget the simplest safety tip of all: always buckle up. Whether you’re the driver or a passenger, wearing your seatbelt is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent serious injury in a crash. Sweet Lawyers encourages everyone to make it a habit—every trip, every time.
Wrong-way crashes often result in severe injuries and can be prevented through attentive and responsible driving. Motorists should stay alert to roadway signs, avoid driving while impaired, and immediately report suspected wrong-way drivers to authorities when it is safe to do so.
