66-Year-Old Yakima Man Severely Injured in Gordon Road Accident [Yakima, WA]

Yakima, WA (July 11, 2026) – A 66-year-old Yakima man sustained serious injuries following a Gordon Road accident late Wednesday night.

The collision between a vehicle and a bicycle happened before 11 p.m. on July 8.

Police said a 71-year-old Yakima woman driving on Tamarack Avenue turned north onto Gordon Road and crossed into the opposing lane. The woman then struck the 66-year-old Yakima man riding an electric bicycle, head-on.

Responding rescuers located the bicyclist on the side of the road, suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was rushed to an area hospital.
