Yaroslav Ponomarenko of Granada Hills Deceased in Lindley Avenue Collision [Encino, CA]

Encino, CA (July 7, 2026) – Yaroslav Ponomarenko, 41, of Granada Hills, was killed in a Lindley Avenue collision Sunday evening.

It was past 6 p.m. when the fatal crash happened at the intersection with Victory Boulevard.

Troopers determined a 35-year-old woman driving west on Victory Boulevard allegedly ran a red light and collided with Ponomarenko’s vehicle.

Police declared Ponomarenko deceased at the scene, while the 35-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital.

In the meantime, officers are investigating and have not determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
