25-Year-Old Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 87 North in Victoria

Victoria, TX (April 24, 2026) — 25-year-old Zachary Banda lost his life in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 87 North in Victoria on Saturday afternoon.

Authorities say that Banda was driving a Ford F-150 when the crash occurred around 4:35 p.m. Investigators said a southbound semi-truck collided with Banda’s northbound pickup. The impact also involved a Nissan Altima carrying two occupants.

Emergency responders pronounced Banda dead at the scene. A 24-year-old passenger in his vehicle and two individuals in the Altima, ages 21 and 22, sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The semi-truck driver was not hurt.

Crews temporarily diverted traffic along the highway as they cleared the wreckage and assisted those involved.
